11 Habits of Disciplined Men

11 Habits of Disciplined Men

People often preach that society needs to be more disciplined... but what does that actually mean? Listed below are what I believe are traits that all disciplined men have. And if you desire to be someone that is described as disciplined. Then you should consider deliberately practicing these 11 Habits.

  1. Resist Urges - Resist counterproductive urges that actively steer you away from your goals. Example: Urge to break your diet, grab a sweet treat, impulse buy something, check your social media or email constantly, view NSFW content, play a video game etc. etc.
  2. Embrace The Suck - You face the things others avoid, you confront conflicts head on and you do not shy away from the hard conversations.
  3. Exercise - You make it a daily practice to move your body whether you want to or not.
  4. Eat Clean - You see food as fuel, and provide you body with the best nutrients it requires to function at 100%.
  5. Meditate/Pray - You practice calming down your mind and remember what really matters.
  6. Sleep - It requires self-discipline to prioritize sleep. Making sure you go to bed and wake up at the same time.
  7. Organization - You keep your house, office, car, drawers, desktop, email inbox and everything in your life clean and organized so you can focus on the goal.
  8. Time Management - Plan your Quarter, Month, Week, Day, Hours deliberately  and stick to the plan no matter what.
  9. Set Goals -Constantly looks at his Yearly Goal/Vision for himself and tracks progress
  10. Gratitude - Always looking at the future can cause anxiety and stress and make one ignore what is right under their nose. Practice gratitude daily and be present to enjoy the journey.
  11. Relentless Persistence - Stick to your plan and never waiver despite emotions, drama, failure or uncertainty.
