You did your time..
And now, the long-awaited moment has come:
YOU'RE FREE!
But... “What happens next?”
A better question to ask would be “What will I do now?”
The easy thing to do is simply react.
Follow the basic checklist.
Go to school, get a job, get a house and car.
Mindlessly drift from assumed task to task... In hope to one day be truly FREE
But true freedom demands more.
Your job now is to take a step back and create a strategy.
To build the future YOU actually want to live in.
There are hard choices to be made:
Stay where you are or move to a new town.
Stick around your job to chase a promotion—or start your own business.
Drop music on vinyl or Spotify.
Re-enlist or Go to college.
Get married or Keep searching.
Go to the gym or Eat Out again.
Move back with mom and dad or get your own place.
Too many choices. Too many open doors.
Too Overwhelming
And with too many options…
you get paralyzed. Too scared to commit to anything and make the "wrong" choice
Stay in your head, you're dead - Don’t go internal.
Don’t slip back into the grind of passive, predictable days.
You can make things better.
Start with this:
Focus on what you can control.
Don’t waste energy on what’s out of reach. (You can only control your actions)
Set clear priorities.
Cut distractions.
Give yourself room to breathe.
And seek wisdom—from people whose lives you admire.
Then, take a breath.
Choose your next action.
Commit to it—for a season. (3 months to a year)
And the hardest part?
Be patient.
What does that mean?
Don’t just wait—build while you wait.
Reconnect with family.
Train your body.
Deepen your faith.
Sharpen your skills.
Pick one or more
And move forward.

Only take advice—or criticism—from people you’d trade places with.
